Welcome to Jurassic Kart! At the end of the month, we are going to be utilizing the DynaTheater with the New Mexico Museum of Natural History foundation, and will be renting out the space for a few hours to share with you all! We’ll be hosting a Mario Kart World invitational, which is simply you hanging out and playing games on the large screen with us! No tournament will be held this month in favor of us simply using the space to play games, take turns, and enjoy the spectacle! Depending on our attendance, we may have to cap the amount of attendees, but that depends on your interest in the event, which you can share with us HERE! Due to security regulations, attendance is capped in increments of 50 people, so if we get close to 50 attendees, we can hold the event with that as our limit. If there is interest beyond the limit of 50, then we will need to push for closer to 100 attendees to accommodate the extra fees for us to hold the event.

That said, you can pay at New Game Plus to register your spot, both in card and cash, and it will be a $10 fee per person for us to secure your spot. Local artists and a food truck will be on hand to augment our evening, as well as other miscellaneous games to try out set up around the venue!

We can’t wait to have you enjoy the evening with us, but come by to register today!

To quality for our end-of-year achievement unlock, you must complete challenges in-store so we can verify, but can practice at home to your heart’s content! Take a look down below and see which of these you can fit into your schedule!

The Gamer, the Myth, the Legend.

It’s taken a little bit to get here, but it’s time to announce Local Legends – an ongoing way to play games and secure yourself in the halls of history, locally!

While we don’t have official judges or refs to submit to any official leaderboards or sites (and we’ll see how this could change in the future!), we *can*, at the very least, showcase who the best is here in the 505!

Visit our website and click on the Local Legends tab to see the first list of games we’ve curated, and as time and interest go on, so, too, will the list of games that can be challenged!

It costs no extra money to submit, just standard store time, but must be done in-store with an employee present to verify. Submissions can be done as often as one would wish, and we’ll also be notating which version of a game is being submitted, due to discrepancies with original hardware and games on XBL, NSO, and otherwise being subject to small differences.

Come on down and ask any employee about submitting a score, and show that you’re Albuquerque’s greatest!

We’ll continue to make more announcements as new games become available, so stay tuned!
